Chipotle Compliment - Delicious Burrito

Compliment
Review by Wally86 on 2009-09-08
3039 W. PEORIA AVENUE, PHOENIX,AZ -- Me and my friends, the other day decided to grab a bite to eat at chipotle. A Establishment that specializes in gourmet burritos.

They make the Burrito in front of you, you pick which topping you want. Be it either rice, beans, cheese, steak, pork, chicken. they have lots of ingredients to choose from.

The foods looks and tastes very fresh. And plus the food is organic. I had my burrito with steak and let me tell ya. You can actually taste the beef and its really good and tender. And the toppings compliment the burrito very well.

If you want a nice decent Gourmet Burrito, Head on down to chipotle you won't be disappointed. The prices are very decent and the burrito is huge.

Their food is organic?!? I have been eating there for years and never knew. Some of their stuff is a little spicy for me, but over all great food!

Nice! Next time I'm in the part of town where they have a location, I may need to stop in !
Posted by MissMarple on 2009-09-08:
Sparticus, I guess that means it tastes really, REALLY good.
Posted by raven2002 on 2009-09-08:
Their burritos is usually two meals for me. waaaaay too large to eat in one sitting.
Posted by littleyaya on 2009-09-08:
I find their food a little salty. I'd rather go to Filibertos and get some authentic Mexican food. Wally, we live in Phoenix hun. There's better burritos out there that cost less and taste much better.

Ack Spart! Don't post nutritional information! If I don't know what's in it, it can't hurt me! LOL no seriously... everything in moderation, right?
Posted by Face to Face on 2009-09-08:
Never had the Chipotle...I wanna try it but we have better, locally owned Mexican Food places to go to..
Posted by MissMarple on 2009-09-08:
TW, please send some of those authentic Mexican food places here. Thanks in advance.

Ahhh, what the heck, just send me a dozen carne asada burritos.

Steve, I hope you don't mean Taco Bell

*waiting for C2O to come along and make a sexual burrito reference*
Posted by bearkatkitten on 2009-09-08:
I've had a couple of naughty things come to mind when trying to make a burrito sexual. But, I'll let C20 actually make the comments, yaya.

great review.

very very helpful!!
Posted by Eloise on 2009-09-08:
Organic Beef? I'm all over that.
Posted by PepperElf on 2009-09-08:
hmm. personally my true preference for beef isn't organic or usda but australian beef. ... at least aussie beef cooked by the ruth's chris steak house. that stuff melted on my tongue. yum yum :)
Posted by JohnInSoCal on 2009-09-08:
This looks like a spam review. HAAAAAA! I like Chipotle too. The portions are huge. You can share a meal or take part of it home.
Posted by Wally86 on 2009-09-08:
Spam? how so John.
Posted by Wally86 on 2009-09-08:
Pepper, I cant afford Ruth Chris on a poor mans salary. No steak is worth 100 bucks.
Posted by MRM on 2009-09-08:
Whoa Nelly! I had a steak at Ruth Chris last week and I had no idea it was $100! You see, the pharmaceutical rep treated our employees to dinner. Oh yea, she was a fine looking pharmaceutical rep!
Posted by PepperElf on 2009-09-08:
oh i can't afford it now either. when i had it i was still in the navy and we'd just pulled in to Hong Kong for about 3 days.

and yeah 100's about right.
Posted by madconsumer on 2009-09-08:
but wally, you ARE worth 100$. i keep telling you ....
Posted by jktshff1 on 2009-09-08:
You can eat at Ruth's for less than that, but not much. Last time me and the better half went the bill (with drinks and wine) ran @ $125.00
Posted by Wally86 on 2009-09-08:
I'm the kind of guy, that likes man food. not some pea sized peace of meat. A good steak for me would be a 17 ounce porterhouse with the all the fixings.
Posted by PepperElf on 2009-09-08:
though i finally figured out the truth to french cuisine...

yes it's small portions, but there's usually several courses, with time between them. by the time you're done - even with small portions - you usually feel stuffed.
Posted by laklisa on 2009-09-08:
Ok, my mouth is watering. Where can I find one in MS? LOL
Posted by PepperElf on 2009-09-08:
not sure. hell im being cheap right now. tonight's dinner is chicken boiled in water mixed with curry sauce, then eaten as a sammich.

then i'm saving the water to use as chicken broth.
Posted by jktshff1 on 2009-09-08:
don't feel bad, in New Orleans and eating frozen dinner from the "hotel grocery".
Posted by Eloise on 2009-09-08:
MRM, I think a phar reps are required to be good looking.

Posted by tnchuck100 on 2009-09-08:
This does not really deserve 11+ "Very Helpful" votes. The burrito may well have been excellent. There is no indication of where this took place. There fore how is one to know who the compliment is about.

As with McDonald's, Taco Bell, KFC, or any of the big chains compliments and complaints should be store-relative. One may do well while another may be atrocious.

The particular location is essential in this type of a review. Without it it is pointless.

This is the very tactic that tilts the site scoring system to "help out your buddy". I notice it is mainly the same group putting forth the effort to manipulate the system.
Posted by jktshff1 on 2009-09-08:
My first thought also, where was this location? That would make it better.
Posted by Wally86 on 2009-09-08:
Chuck, don’t you have some bank of America thread to go whine on. Stop trolling my review.
Posted by littleyaya on 2009-09-08:
Wally, there's supposed to be a good burrito place in Sky Harbor airport
Posted by Eloise on 2009-09-08:
I'm making chicken tonight too. Chicken Alfredo Bake.
(Pep, I've got a great way to cook chicken if you'd like I'll e-mail it to you.)

(You poor think jktshff1 that sounds awful!)
Posted by MissMarple on 2009-09-08:
Eloise, why don't you just post it on the community forum side?
Posted by MRM on 2009-09-08:
The name of pharmaceutical rep is Amber and I shall holla at her when she makes her rounds at my job tomorrow. Oh yea, shes a dime!!!
Posted by jktshff1 on 2009-09-08:
??? Eloise
Posted by madconsumer on 2009-09-08:
i don't like pea sized meat either.

wally your reviews deserves 20 votes. at least this is helpful, unlike some that get 20 votes.

Steve, I hope you don't mean Taco Bell"

I'm pretty sure I said "Mexican Food".Toxic Hell gives it a bad name.
Posted by JohnInSoCal on 2009-09-08:
Wally, the spam comment was a joke. People usually scream spam when a compliment is posted.
Posted by Ytropious on 2009-09-08:
I LOVE Chipotle, but they aren't located everywhere. Also whoever made the specific comment about location was right on, there's 2 chipotles by me, and one is definitely better then the other. One has very fast and courtious service, where the other is kinda slow, always seems out of ingredients (waiting on beans, out of chicken for 5 minutes, etc), and for some reason they always put the heat press on the tortilla for too long making it crispy instead of slightly warmed. Both have the same amount of customers too. If you got a good Chipotle close, like I do, I'm always pleased.
Posted by Wally86 on 2009-09-08:
Ok, I added the location.
Posted by JohnInSoCal on 2009-09-08:
Wally, please capitalize the "P" in Phoenix and "AZ" for Arizona. Okay, okay! I will quit messing around now. >:-)
Posted by Wally86 on 2009-09-08:
John, please your turning in to db, scaring me bro lol
Posted by JohnInSoCal on 2009-09-08:
hehehe okay, I will behave myself. :)
Posted by Sparticus on 2009-09-08:
Sorry if I ruined it for anyone... like others said, if you eat it in two meals, it is not as bad for you... =)
Posted by MissMarple on 2009-09-08:
Spart, you didn't ruin it, you merely made it sound more enticing :)
Posted by Sparticus on 2009-09-08:
Ha... well, glad I could help. =)
Posted by littleyaya on 2009-09-08:
Dang that location is far from my house
Posted by superbowl on 2009-09-08:
We have a pretty good Chipotle's a couple miles away. I like the bowls better than the burrito's.
Posted by K Hanold on 2009-09-17:
I was a huge fan of Chipotle until I read the Nutritional Facts. Geez! They make a great burrito, but they have a day, to a day-and-a-half worth of sodium, fat, calories and cholesterol!
