Nicole's Savings Advantage Complaint - Do not give this company your credit card #

Review by jkkeehn on 2009-09-08
I signed up for a free trial of their services and was billed $11.87 and then $9.93. I cancelled during the free period but was charged anyway. I've made several calls to have the credits issued and each time I was assured that a credit would be issued with 3 business days. It never was. Be warned. If you give this company your credit card they will make several charges to your card. I finally had to cancel my credit card to get the charges to stop. What a hassle!!

Signing up for "free" trials seems to becoming a very shade practice. While most of us realize nothing is "free", it should not be difficult to cancel, especially if done within the policies and guidelines stated by each company, but it sure seems as if it is, along with the fact that it usually ends up causing financial problems. I'm glad you stopped this particular charge, even if it meant canceling a credit card (did you contact your card provider and protest the charges?), and assume you will be very hesitant to sign up for any "free" offers in the future, as many of us already are loath to do.
