Pat's Cafe Compliment - Great Place to Eat - Burgers

Review by Starlord on 2009-09-09
We have been seeing Pat's Cafe in Lacey since we moved to Washington, and decided to have lunch there today. The restaurant is in a fairly nondescript green former house. When we went in we were impressed by the atmosphere. Clean and inviting, the tables and chairs were not expensive, but were functional. There was a very nice lady waiting tables, and a man was in the kitchen. It did not take long to realize they were husband and wife. I ordered a bacon cheddar burger and the other half ordered a plain burger, and we both got soft drinks. It was not long before our food was brought. The burgers were 1/3 pound and done to a T. Mine had fresh produce garnish that was just right. Both burgers came with French fries that were hot and tasty, and neither too much or too few. The burger was the best I have had in a long time. The prices were quite reasonable. We WILL be going back. Often.

Thanks for the review, star.

I have a great restaurant in Olympia for you. It's called Angels Thai Cuisine. The prices are reasonable and it's one of the best Thai food places I've ever been to. Very authentic, but also reasonably priced. It's located downtown at 318 4th Avenue East, Oly. Whenever we go there, we always stop at Angels.

Yes, wally, they do. In fact, everything we've eaten there is great. I have a friend that lives in Oly, so whenever we go up there (when we're home), we eat at Angels. I haven't even found that good of Thai food here! I have found some Seafood Tom Yum that's been good, but that's it so far.

Starlord & Crystal, this is *completely* off topic, but didn't you live somewhere near Coolidge Az? Seems I remember one or both of you making reference to 'Coolidge.' Anyway--plane crash over Coolidge about an hour ago.

Carry on, group. I just jumped on M3C to contact them and lo and behold, there's a post by Starlord. Wish I had time to browse, but I don't. :)

Ponie, we moved to Washington State over a year ago...we DID live just outside Coolidge, AZ for a little over 14 1/2 years. Thank you for the info on the plane crash...info as follows: PHOENIX -- A mid-air collision about 3 miles north over Coolidge, Ariz., has left one person dead and a second hospitalized Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The first aircraft, a Cessna 150 registered to Christiansen Aviation in Delaware, crashed near the intersection of Coolidge and Jefferson, killing one person, according to Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor.

A second person was airlifted to an area hospital, according to paramedics.

Gregor said the single-engine Piper, which is registered to Oxford Training Center Inc. in Goodyear, Ariz., landed safely in a field about 2 miles northeast of where the Cessna crashed. Neither of the two people on board were injured and no injuries on the ground.

Ponie, nice to know that friends remember where we were. The local hospital they airlifted those people to was Casa Grande Regional Medical Center, which is a Class A trauma center. The helicopter there we call Big Bird, because it is a bright yellow. We will try Angel's some time, I may enjoy it more than Crystal, as she is not as adventurous as I am. I do love her very much, anyway. This Sunday will be our 21st anniversary.

Any restaurant with the name , the same as the owner, is probably a pretty darn good place to eat...
you probably didn't get embroidered table napkins but if the food was good who cares, right?

star, definitely try Angels. Tell crystal she will love it too. There's something for everyone and the prices are great.

I will try Pat's next time I'm in town. I love the small, non-chain places. They usually have much better food and ambiance.
