La-Z-Boy Incorporated Complaint - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
SPANISH FORT, ALASKA -- Sir/Madame,
I hope you are the person we need to complain to about the service or should I say lack of service we have received from Lazy Boy. June of this year we ordered a chair from Lazy Boy Furniture Galleries in Spanish Fort, AL (251 3002022) We received the chair after my wife called and told them I would not accept the chair if it was not delivered promptly. The chair arrived by transport on August 19th. It came in a huge box in two pieces. I am 76 years old and there is noway I could have put this chair together if the driver had not assisted me. (He was not suppose to and could lose his job for not dropping on the side of the road according to him- Dominion Freight Company). We connected all the things that needed to be connected and the chair did not work. I immediately called the store and spoke to the manager Matt. He told me he would have the chair picked up because the driver could not take it back without getting into trouble. We have called and called and finally we told Matt we would have our attorney look into the matter. He will not pick up the chair without charging us 25% restock fee for something we did not cause. We want our $1700.00 returned and we do not want anything else to do with Lazy Boy. We cannot afford to pay an attorney on a fixed income. If there is anything you can do to help us we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time.
