CA Internet Security Complaint - No Ending of Service Upon Request

First, I find it amazing that there is a Google add right on the page of My3cents that came up when I entered a search for this company!

Two years ago I purchased their software from an electronics store and loaded it on my computer. Granted, it did a good job of protecting my computer. After a year went by, I received an e-mail asking if I would like to renew which I did. Another year goes by, and I received another notice about renewing, but that it would be done automatically unless I chose not to, and it gave instructions on how to end the service. This I decided to do. After about two hours of trying, I finally received a notice that I had ended the service, and only after entering a code they gave me to enter during the process which they never told me had to be entered with CAPITOL LETTERS ONLY!!! This I found out by trial and error. Well, I just happened to be on line at 10PM a month later when I received an e-mail from CA saying that my protection was successfully renewed. I wound up going to my Credit Union first thing next morning who found they had used the card number I gave them when I renewed last year.

I turns out they also bill under other names, and they are out of England. It wasn't until Visa Corporation got involved that they refunded my money. I did have to cancel my Visa and get a new one.
