Beef O'Brady's Complaint - Bad Food, Worse Service, Rude People

Review by truefriend on 2009-09-11
NEW PORT RICHEY, FLORIDA -- Went to Beef O'Brady's on Hwy 19 in New Port Richey. Ordered wings, they arrive half cooked, clearly red and raw in middle. When I called waitress over to complain, she was rude and annoyed. She returned 10 minutes later with wings that were clearly over cooked and burnt. I complained again, feeling that they purposely burnt my wings because I had complained that they were uncooked. Waitress Pam, had an attitude. I walked out of the restaurant, refusing to pay, and she called out after me that she would call police because I didn't pay for food? Are you kidding me?

Did she call the police?

I'm also curious, did she call the police or did you end up paying for the nasty wings??

I think this is a good review and warning.

Beef O'Bradys has great wings - love em. I think the key is "I called the waitress over to COMPLAIN." Doesn't that imply an attitude, as compared to "called over to ask they be cooked a little more." It amazes me when people take an attitude and then are surprised they are not helped. What would make any customer think Beef OBrady would not heat them a little more, or not help. Why was it necessary to "complain"- just because you were delayed a few minutes by food having to go back to be cooked a little more?

I don't know if complaining implies they have an attiude. Uncooked wings are dangerous. What worries me, is what was done to the wings when they were sent back, other than over cooking them.

Truefriend, I feel your pain. Luckily my incident with raw wings was handled much better than those jerks did down there.
I for one NEVER send food back and I don't blame you for not paying.
Thanks for sharing and here is my horrific story.

To me complaining differs from a request in that it implies the complainer is making derogatory comments about the item or incident. No one likes criticism even waitresses. If the OP describes it as such, then I assume they know their own attitude. There was nothing to indicate that a simple request would not have been complied with.

Sounds to me like the staff said, if you don't like them like this, we'll make sure they are cooked enough.

Sorry your wings were raw. That is really gross. Hope you didn't take it out on the waitress. She delivers the food, she doesn't cook it.

Well I am curious if he got in trouble as well...if he did eat the wings, then he is in the wrong and should have paid...if just for the drink and/or any sides he may have eaten.
