Home Depot Complaint - Brand New Refrigerator Doesn't Work
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA -- I bought an LG refrigerator from my local Home Depot and it was delivered yesterday. It was 4 hours old when my problems started and the unit stopped working. I contacted the manufacturer and they told me the error code was indicating the unit was "freezing" up and I should unplug it 3 - 4 hours and plug it back in to fix (permanently) the problem. I followed the instructions and the error codes returned in 10 minutes. The second call to LG resulted in them telling me to stop using the refrigerator and scheduling a technician to come out the following week to "take a look". I went by the Home Depot store and they told me there was nothing they could and I should work with the manufacturer. Are you kidding me? I spent over $2000 on a refrigerator that doesn't work and the technician can't get here until the middle of next week. I am very disappointed in Home Depot and can't believe I am getting the run around.
