All fast food restaurants and franchises Informative - I've done my part...........have you?

Review by oneufear on 2004-07-08
It has been exactly 2 years since I have stepped foot inside the follwing restaurants:
McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Krystal, Taco Bell, Captain D's, Long John Silvers, Bojangles, KFC, Pizza Hut, Arby's, Hardee's, Subway, Sonic, Steak and Shake, Applebee's, Chili's, O'Charlie's, Red Lobster, Olive garden, and Macaroni Grill.

It has been over 2 years since I've had anything delivered from the following restaurants:
Dominoes, Little Ceasar's, and Papa Johns.

I have saved money and prepared my own meals at home. So far, I've not been unhappy with any meal. Even when I have to travel for work I get a hotel room with a refridgerator and microwave...........cereal in the morning and sandwiches in the evening.

So see folks, it CAN be done. This is not written to suggest any of these places will go out of business because I have stopped frequenting them..........but so far I've had nothing to complain about (if this falls under a complaint, forgive me...........it was meant to be informative). A good bit of advice to everyone who has experienced bad service at any fast food or contemporary restuarants: if everyone prepared their meals at home and took their lunch to work, these places might not actually go away but it would put a bad hurting on their business

Preparing meals at home is not that hard to do and it saves money.

Have a great day :)

It's funny how much we'll take from an establishment before we get fed up. I like to stop by the grocery & pick up Taco Bell shells, On The Border mix, Margaritaville tequila, invite some amigos... see ya manana!

Amen there! When I want burgers...I grill them myself. McDonalds and Burger King can stuff it!

The real winners, if you indeed avoid the grease traps like you claim, are your kids and home sanitation.

Thanks but I don't have children. As stated above, I don't go to any restaurants. From what I've seen on this web site, a lot of people don't or claim to have stopped.........unless they are blowing smoke.......

Hey thanks, you know that is probably the most informative post I have read since I've been on this site. Thank you.

Id say its more obvious than informative.

What's unrealistic? People don't have to eat out.......it's a choice. A very high percentage of people who dine out often end up complaining about it.........so why return to the places you complain about? No, I don't have kids and I'm not retired. What difference could having kids or beibg retired have to do with where you eat your meals? Home is the best place.

I made some hot ham & cheez on my George Foreman grill last night & I was NOT disappointed! Of course, neither was my dog...!

So (and correct me if I am wrong) your claim to fame is that you have NOT gone out to eat in "exactly" two years? I am impressed, but I will hold my real opinion until I get my picture of you, I and your star on the "walk" of fame.

Why the negative attitiude? People complain on here all the time about restaurants but I'll garantee they still return. If returning is inevitable, why complain? I just made the sinmple statement that eating out is a choice and not necessity............so I decided only to eat at home. Just wanted to let people know it can be done. I'm not expecting an award. Just wondering how many people could actually do this........like myself.
