British Airways Complaint - Illusive refund! - BA refund policy
After having booked a BA flight online for my son to travel from Bangkok to Aberdeen, UK I had to cancel due to unforseen circumstances. I tried to cancel online but the system wouldn't let me. When I went to the office to cancel it I was told I had to do it online or incur a charge. I explained the online service wouldn't work and despite them trying it while I was sitting in the shop and it STILL not working I was told it was my computer that was wrong and I would have to pay the charge. After agreeing to this (just wanting to get it finished with) I then called the call center to ask for my refund because this was the only other way (or so I was told)They then told me that I couldn't cancel the flight because my son was the passenger, he had to call! After he called I was told my refund would take 3-4 weeks. I called after 3 weeks and was told it would take 6-7 weeks. I called after 7 weeks and was told that they hadn't even begun the refund process because I had not confirmed the currency conversion charge!! which was absolute rubbish as my son had ok'd this during his first call. JUST GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!!! I have now been told that I will receive my money within 10 days minus, charges, taxes and currency conversion, despite my ticket stating I was eligable for a FULL refund....I WILL NEVER EVER BOOK A BA FLIGHT AGAIN....and they wonder why their profits are down?????
