Chapman Dodge Complaint - Customer Service? Chapmen Dodge has None and does not care

Review by Kittylitter on 2009-09-14
I had taken in my truck for body repair by per my insurance, I took it in to a private shop. They could not start the truck when they were done with the body work. Chapmen Dodge had to replace the computer in the truck. My insurance expired for my rental and the truck still was not finished! I was without transportation to work as well as shopping etc. Received my Truck back and here in Las Vegas the heat gets to be over 100 degrees most days in summer. I have been trying to get an appointment but they can not tell me that on the day you bring in your truck even with an appointment, you truck will be looked at. Was told that they were busy and I needed to wait for 2 weeks. This was to fix a problem caused by them to begin with. Three months of Las Vegas Summer passed by and I received the same info time and time again. Fed up I scheduled an appointment for Monday 09/07/09. Two repair service reps set this appointment. I thought it odd but went in on Memorial day and they were closed. Wasted my time waiting!!! What fools. I called and spoke to Ben and he stated that I would have to drop off the truck and it would take 3 days b/4 they could look at it. I wanted to make an appointment so when I took it in there would be a better chance to have it looked at, NO WAY!!! Does not matter when you make an appointment or not you have to wait 3 to 4 days for someone to look at your truck. I can not believe service has gone down that bad. Las Vegas has been noted for bad customer service but this is unacceptable!!! I called the manager (Mike)for the service department about my situation.

I stated that I would not be buying another Dodge ever and he stated that it was up to me whether I did or not. It took me playing phone tag 2 days just to talk to him. I drove up to the service department and no one said hi! Boo! Went back to my truck and the driver did not even help me with what I needed to do, I asked him, with no reply! After about 10 minuets of not moving my truck then pulling up, I received check in. I was told that it would be 150.00 Diagnosis. I said that Dodge created this problem and I will have to fight this one also. I also found out even with my appointment I will have to wait days without my truck. My only transportation! Ben did not put me on the appointment list either. Check in person did not find me!!!!!! Service?

I then took the shuttle home with 4 others having problems with service. All of them had problems with the serviced department at Chapmen. Phone calls to Corporate, Management, Supervisors, nothing seamed to work. None of the other were going to give up one letting someone know what they thought about the poor service they received. The time they would be without there cars, etc. Bail out did not help! Passing this word on to others and standing up for what these high end American gas guzzling cars do to our economy is the only thing that will change the negative service into positive. DO NOT PUT UP WITH SERVICE LIKE THIS. WE MUST MAKE THEM UNDERSTAND. I will not be purchasing another Dodge and suggest that no one else make that mistake either.
