J. Mark Complaint - Customer "Service"?
FLORIDA -- The $60 toy aquarium I purchased looked like a piece of junk. I saw a comparable one at WalMart for $10, but J. Mark's website warns "Don't be tricked by look-alike imitations ...."! So, I thought this would be a real, high quality product. I was disappointed, but didn't want to spend another $20 returining the thing so I used it as my kids' nightlight, about 10 hours per night about 14 nights per month. It broke. I wrote the company and asked what could be done to rectify the situation. Here's the response I got after she told me "there's nothing we can do about it" and I again complained:
"B******* at J. Mark" 2:29pm
I'm sorry but everything you buy has warnings about misuse and abuse that void replacement.
FACE IT... YOU BROKE IT!!! Why should I pay for that? I did not make it!!
I simply work in an office. The warehouse takes the time to open and try every piece before it leaves here. We have a 100% satisfaction rating with everything we sell. Go to www.BuyerComments.com and see what your complaint looks like to me!!
I have some broken things around my house. Would you like to pay me for them? You think like a jerk. You will never be happy with anything you break."
Wow, thanks B******, how enlightening. I'll be SURE to buy more crap from J. Mark in future.
J. Mark posts their own "100% happy" comments on "BuyerComments.com", how legit do you think that is? Anyway, I'm disgusted. They could have offered me anything, but "YOU BROKE IT" just doesn't cut it in my customer service business.
