Chevrolet Complaint - Chevy Trucks break down
MIDDLETOWN,, CONNECTICUT -- I'm writing in complaint regarding Chevy trucks. During the same year, '02, two Chevy trucks were purchased in my family. A 2500 HD Silverado and an S-10 ZR2. I have found that on both trucks at about 60,000 miles, things start failing/breaking etc. The first to go was the weather seal on my drivers door of the S-10. Second was the brakelines rusting out on the 2500. The Chevy dealership, Jackson Chevrolet, in Middletown CT, "fixed" the brakelines under warranty. 20,000 miles later, however, when the truck was not "under warranty, I had to apply the brakes hard, resulting in a crash. When I applied the brake, the peddle hit the floor. The brake lines had once again rusted completely through. Chevy refused to pay for the second brake line replacement or truck repair resulting from the crash. I also replaced the S-10 master cylinder and other major components within the first 60,000 miles. When I recently brought the truck for an oil change at a Monro muffler at 103k, I told the guys that I always get my truck serviced at the dealership but could they please figure out why it sounds like I'm dragging metal on concrete when I drive. They pulled off the tires, however I always have my truck serviced at the dealership, they neglected to tell me that all four rotors and break pads needed replacing again! The breaklines in my S-10 had also rusted to a dangerous degree. Needless to say, I will not be buying a Chevy truck or car in the future. I was not satisfied with the service, price, functioning or reliability of the trucks.
