Ashley Furniture Complaint - Ashley's takes your money NEVER DELIVERS your furniture!
FAIRFIELD, CALIFORNIA -- On 6/21/09, I purchased furniture from Ashley's Furniture Homestore in Fairfield, CA; I paid in full. I was told to expect delivery within 6-8 weeks, although it would probably be sooner. However, I was asked to sign a paper and did, that said delivery could take up to 12 weeks. I have been called by Ashley's Customer Service approximately every 3 weeks since my purchase. Each time they call they give me another approximate delivery date further out. I last spoke with customer service on 9/22/09 and was told they could not guarantee delivery any time soon, but it "might" be there next week. It has now been almost 14 weeks since I paid for this furniture. The contract I signed stated the most I would have to wait is 12 weeks. I spoke with a supervisor, Hector, at corporate office and asked for a full refund of my money. He refused, stating that their policy is they don't give refunds after the first 24hrs of purchase. It is beyond acceptable that a customer would pay for goods and not expect to receive them in a reasonable time. Over 14 weeks is not reasonable and it is also not within their promised time frame on the contract I signed. I want a full refund of my money.
