Searscard.com Complaint - Misinformation and stupid business practice
Approx. a year ago I purchased a big screen TV from my local Sears outlet. I was not told at time of purchase about any promotions. I recently received my billing statement and was blindsided by a fince charge almost equal to my account balance. I immediately called Sears customer service to inquire about the charges and was told that that because I didn't pay off the account before the promotion ran out that I was liable for all the finance charges. I have been a Sears customer for approx 30-35 yrs. as has my wife(she has own account) but because of this we will no longer be doing business with Sears. If Sears is so desperate for cash-flow that they choose to screw-over good, reliable customers, then I hope they continue their down-hill slide. I can buy anything Sears has from Wal-Mart, Lowe's, etc..
I hope you forward this to Sears and some over-paid exec. finally earns their money and realizes this is not the way to do business. If they wish to reply, my e-mail address is dburger@us-concrete, com.
