Star Pontiac GMC Complaint - BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

EASTON, PENNSYLVANIA -- I had an airbag issue so I took my truck to the dealer for service. I was never informed that it was not covered under warranty until it was too late. Star could not fix the problem. They told me that it HAD to go to a dodge dealer and they worked with one across the street. I made arrangements with Star for them to take the truck across the street to the dodge dealer. I was told that my service tech would make sure everything was taken care of. It was NOT. The only time I heard from the serive tech was when he called my to tell me that it was not covered under warranty and that the dodge dealer went ahead and fixed it without my approval. I called this morning to speak with Marc P the manager of the service department and he told me that the service tech Angelo had done is job and that he did call me to tell me before had that it was not covered and to give me the price of the repair. I told the manager that, he did NOT call me to ok all of it with me. The manage continued to tell me that Angelo did call me. So basicaly they are telling me that I am a LIER. I don't appreciate being made into a lier. I was not lieing, the service tech who is trying to protect his job is the one who is lieing. I think that this dealer is one of the worst around. I wouldn't send my worst emonie to this dealer for service

So, the (liar) fixed your car and you just never got called with the price of it? You just said when you took the car in, they informed you it was not under warranty. And now you're saying you were never informed of that? Or do you mean you were never informed when you purchased the car that airbag issues were not under warranty? So, I take it the price for the air bag fix was not what you were expecting? You could have asked beforehand how much it was going to cost since it wasn't under warranty. But, yes, the whole point of your issue is that you weren't called by the tech, even though he said he called, with the price and given them approval.

I was never informed about the cost of the repaid or the warrenty issue until after it was already fixed and it was time to pick the truck up. I asked about the cost when i droped it off. they said they would call me and let me know. they never did. the only call i got was to come pick it up. What i'mk saying is that they din't do what they said they would do. i asked about the warrenty when i dropped it off, but the service tech that i was dealing with, was not in.

You have conflicting statements in your complaint. So, I'm trying to understand what it is you're complaining exactly about.
You had airbag issues and took your truck into your dealership. They said they couldn't fix it and you had to take it to the Dodge people. You made arrangements to take it there. You were told by the service tech everything would be taken care of. But, you're saying it was not. They fixed it and never informed you that it was not under warranty. They didn't call you with that little slice of information, nor the price of how much it would be.... until they called to tell you it was all fixed.
So, tell me... what am I not understanding?

what i said in the beginning of my statement was that I was not informed when i took the truck in for service, that is wasn't covered under the warrenty.they told me that it wasn;t covered after they had already fixed it. do you understand?

star made the arrangements,for it to go to the dodge dealer who they are partners with. i have a dodge warrenty and extended warrenty. I said in the 1st statement that they never told me that the warrenty was not going to cover it. i don't know why you can't understand that? what are you haveing a hard time understamding. my statements are the same, not conflicting. they didn't not tell me that the warrenty on the truck would not cover it until the work was already done. star made all the arrangements to have the work done by dodge

I just said that... let me quote one of my sentences...

"They fixed it and never informed you that it was not under warranty. They didn't call you with that little slice of information, nor the price of how much it would be.... until they called to tell you it was all fixed."

If this is a Dodge product, why did you take it to a GM dealership in the first place?
