Del Taco Complaint - Del Taco Denies Responsibility for Metal Object Found in Their Food - Been and Cheese Burrito from the Fiesta Pack
Been and Cheese Burrito from the Fiesta Pack - Complaint

NORWALK, CALIFORNIA -- Here are the facts. Less than a month ago, my husband, Christopher Muse, went to the Norwalk Del Taco located off of Alondra Blvd. and the 605 N. off ramp and ordered a bean and cheese burrito with the fiesta pack. When he bit into his meal he also bit into a piece of metal that had been wrapped into the burrito and ended up chipping and cracking his tooth. We immediately contacted the local and county health department along with the Del Taco Corporation. The health department did an inspection and couldn’t find any other pieces of metal but did find multiple health violations and ended up lowering the restaurant’s grade to a C. As for the Del Taco Corporation, they asked for us to send them the metal piece along with a copy of our receipt so they could investigate. After their investigation they called us back saying they could not identify where the piece came from and therefore are denying any and all responsibility for our claim. The point is that the piece of metal, unidentifiable or not, was wrapped in the burrito bought from their store and is the sole cause for the chip and crack in my husband’s tooth which has, over the last couple of weeks, caused him discomfort and pain. Del Taco’s response was this isn’t their problem. This is not an okay answer. We are writing to the public because we don’t know where to go from here. If you are reading this I am asking you to help us by boycotting any and all Del Tacos and reposting this message in every blog and forwarded email. We want our story heard and we want Del Taco to know that it is not acceptable to allow their store to hand out potentially hazardous food to their customers and not take responsibility for the results.
