We purchased a Toshiba 40 inch TV back in April 2009. When we got it the picture was not very clear and by May it was awful. You can't even watch it now. We have made NUMEROUS calls about this and been told each time that they would send in a ticket to another company to have someone come out and look at it. We called the independent company several times only to be told over and over that they had not received anything from Toshiba yet. AFter numerous calls to Toshiba we finally had someone come out to look at it and said it was a defective panel. Several weeks later he came out with a ckt board to replace. He said that Toshiba would not let him order the panel that they wanted him to try to the ckt board first. Of course it didn't work cause that wasn't the broken part. We are now waiting on another part to come in. After several phone calls I asked to speak to a supervisor only to be given Rick Phillips. He said he would have to look into the matter and get back with me in several business days. He would not let me speak to anyone higher than him. After 5 months of this I am sick and tired of being told they will send out another part. I paid for a new TV not a refurbished one. At this point Toshiba should give up the ghost and replace my entire TV instead of sending out parts. Each time someone comes out that's a day off work where we have to sit around and wait on a repairman. This is unacceptable to me. Toshiba's customer service is the worst one I have ever run across. They do not stand behind their products and they DO NOT believe in customer satisfaction. I will never buy another Toshiba brand product and I will definitely be telling EVERYONE who cares to hear that they should stay away from Toshiba!!!!!
