Warranty Direct Complaint - Greed - Extended Auto Warranty

Extended Auto Warranty - Complaint
Review by SSANG on 2009-09-24
On 9/9 I was just considering buying an extended warranty for my 02 Trailblazer. As I viewed the website, I filled in some of the questions to get a quote. After realizing that I had put in my card info., I immediately contacted Warranty Direct to let them know that no purchase was intended and please "DON'T REMOVE MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT". Well, I got run around, put on hold at every turn, and when they said Steve Sang will straighten it out, he directed me back to customer service and e-mailed me a "form" requesting a "refund". In later calls, ol' Steve can't be reached, at least by me. I was told today, 9/24, that it would take 4 WEEKS to process a refund that I begged them not to take in the first place! This is over $600 (first installment!) and they seem very unconcerned about anything except GETTING YOUR MONEY!! Don't fall into the same trap that I did, I am extremely upset and if anyone has advice as to what legally can be done, please post for me and others like me.

Never include your credit card or bank information when requesting a quote. They will have access to your money, take it and it will take an Act of Congress to get it back.

Nothing legally. You gave them the money by including your credit card. I'm sure you didn't read the fine print which probably explained that they would take the money after the quote was reached.

"after realizing I had put in my card info"? What the he** does this mean? If you are not intelligent enough to know you are entering your card info until after the fact, then perhaps you are not intelligent enough to be managing your own finances. Sorry for being so blunt, but realizing after the fact is a very lame excuse.
