Comcast Corporation Complaint - Secondary Account Domain Switch
CAUTION!!! I have a primary and secondary eMail account. Mail sent to the primary account was forwarded to an account in another domain. Mail sent to the secondary account was, for the majority of a year, received at the account in the Comcast domain. Suddenly, without warning, mail sent to the seconday account started to reject. (My only clue that this was occurring was the suspicious absence of any messages in the inbox). Apparently messages sent to the inbox of the seconday account within the Comcast domain began assuming the domain of the forwared primary account where no account existed. For example: mail sent to secondary account ABC in domain Comcast.net would be re-directed to mail account ABC in domain OtherDomain.net where an account ABC@OtherDomain.Net did not exist. Therefore those untold number of messages were lost forever. Comcast was of course at a lost to explain why or how this occurred. I received some gibberish of an explanation from the tech after a 45 minute cell phone conversation that I had to pay for. Mail had been received without incident at the secondary eMail account in the Comcast.net domain for a year prior to this occurring.
Hope this helps a David or two out there in CyberS who may experience similar issues with this omnipotent giant.
