TireChainsRequired.com Complaint - Sent wrong size, refused a refund

Review by Roger_ on 2009-09-27
I ordered cable chains for my Mazda6. The ones they sent didn't fit, but I only found out 11 months after buying them (I know that I should have trial fitted them sooner). I ordered the correct size for my tires, so it's their mistake, but they will do *nothing* for me.

I will not be ordering from them again - they were dishonest with me.

How were they dishonest? Did they say there was an unlimited time for returns? Were the chains labelled wrong, so there was no way to tell the order had been misfilled when you opened the package? More info, please.

They said that a 205/60R16 tyre is not the same dimensions as a 205/60ZR16 tyre. The speed rating of tyre makes no difference, but they tried to tell me that they had shipped the right size chains, when they patently hadn't.

Either they know that the speed rating makes no difference to the tyre size and deliberately tried to mislead me, or they are incompetent. Neither is particularly palatable.

I have no way of knowing if the chains were mis-labeled. They had the right reference (as per their website) on them, but were far too small.
