FT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA -- I spoke with AMEx re decreasing the interest rate approx 3 months ago on my account that has been open for 6 years..and they did. Well thank you. The next month they wrote to tell me they were decreasing my limit, okay fine but it put me over my limit. So I paid off the whole balance this last month, over 5 digits. Today 9/27/09 I received a letter that I have been cancelled on 9/19/09 without notice due to too high a revolving balance, I have 0 balances on 5 cards up to $2,000.00 only. So I called and they stated they could not reinstate me unless I send a fax with my credit report. Well adios you poorly run company with rude service reps, I am very dissappointed you could treat great customers this way.

You will be better served if you cut up the cards and take your business elsewhere. Once this recession crunch is over remember how you were treated because Amex will be begging for customers.
