Target Complaint - Company Policies
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA -- Looking under the Target comments I could not believe all the complaints, but it doesn't surprise me at all. I bought a Wii for two mountain bikes at Target for my niece and her now husband. Bought the Wii on 9/11/09 and the Wedding was on Sat 26 Sept 09. On 27 Sept 09 in the Sunday adds found that Target had the Wii on sale for $199 from $249. Went back to Target on Monday 28 Sept 09 to a price adjustment and guess what Target has a policy - no adjustment after 2 week of purchase. Which is not on the stated on the receipt or anywhere in the Customer
Service area. So I spoke to Customer Service representative and then spoke with his supervisor, they told me they could not help me and I ask to speak with someone higher up and they gave me a phone number to call. So I called that number and spoke with some one and they could not help me and then spoke with his supervisor. So bottom line is I'm one day later and Target would not credit $50 back to me, so I told them, "What you want me to do is return the Wii and you give me the back $270 in stead of giving me back the $50" they told me their policy was they could not adjust my receipt." So on top of buying the Wii game my husband and I bought the kids each a mountain bike. So here is what I'm going to do - return the Wii next Sunday (when my niece gets back in town) and also I'm going to return both bikes and take my business somewhere else.
I don't expect to hear from anyone from Target, because I've only spoke to 6 reps, but when I return the bikes and the Wii game and get my money back on 4 Oct, that will be the last time I will enter any Target store. Its sad to think that Target would treat their customers this way. I would think after reading all the comments Target owners would make a lot of changes. Will take my business to Walmark.
