Hillcrest Chevrolet Salem, Ma. Complaint - They Could Care Less About Customers, It's All About The $$$$$

SALEM, MASSACHUSETTS -- The wife took the car for an inspection to Hillcrest and they failed it due to moisture in the headlight unit. They charged $630.00 To 'special' order and replace them. Well they misplaced one new one and installed the other. When the wife got home I took both old ones, dried them out and re-installed same. They wouldn't take the new one back because it was 'special ordered' and they might not be able to use it... At their Chevy dealership! On any impala between 2000 and 2007! They know that the unit can have water added to it to cause this condition and even accused my wife of doing it. That's just like my wife to add water to the unit, to create the moisture, so she can pay through the nose to have it fixed. She's wicked mechanical...Not!

It took me 30 seconds to remove the headlights and all I did was dry them out and re-install, fixed. Hillcrest threatened to call the cops when I went back to try to return the new headlight. They're pathetic and such a rip-off!

It's a perfect case for Small Claims Court if you want to push it. And the courthouse is right there in Salem.
