Bank of America Complaint - Lord save me from Bank of America and their devious practices
Hello. Just wanted to add my 3 cents on Bank of America. My fiance had MBA credit card with approximately $90,000 worth of credit. Then MBA became Bank of America. He received the new cards and called to talk with them. The person he spoke with told him that since he was such" a valued customer"(be careful when you hear that from them!!), he offered him several lower interest rates and a new line of credit. That sounded great and the man assured him his line of credit would remain the same however he would have 3 cards to get lower rates. They sent the new information and his $48,000 plus credit on both cards became $7,500.00. My fiance became so irrated that he called and cancelled all three cards. At that point I had an online savings with Country Wide which was taken over by Bank of America. I called them as my info wasn't put in correctly and I suddenly couldn't access the account. After the botched credit card fiasco, I called them and said, transfer my funds to my local bank. I was informed how disturbing that was to them. After going back and forth, the man agreed, indicating it would happen the next day, Monday. Well, I checked, no transfer. Then I spent time, and you do spend lots of time trying to reach Bank of AM. I found out that it hadn't started today but the process takes at least 3!!! days. Despite the fact Country Wide would do so overnight. And B of AM. informed Country Wide customers that they would provide the same good services. Except that they won't transfer except for $29.95 charge. They won't allow me to keep online savings and transfers as I am required to have at least 2!!!!! accounts with Bank of Am. They are a huge corporate group who rips people off. They lie, and cheat customers. They don't tell customers the truth and generally do so by ommission. Goodbye Bank of America. If you take over any more of my dealings, then I will cancel those accounts as well. I am not giving you any money to cheat and lie to your customers. I hope your behavior causes others to cancel their accounts. You are fraudulent.
