Comcast Corporation Complaint - COMCAST CUST SERVICE RATED ZERO
MANCHESTER, NEW JERSEY -- Called to get line run to another rooom. First they send a technician which was barely out of diapers could not do it because he did not have the proper tools. Had to reschedule. Technician came and although he ran the line well...he cut our other line. Now we have no service in the upstairs. When I called Comcast that day to tell them what I believe happened...they kept on telling me that they were zapping the line and there was service. The TV was dead. I even disconnected the cable box and put the cable right into my cable-ready TV and it still did not work! Then after 3 phone calls and several hours they tell me they cannot get a technician until 6 days later! Totally unnaceptable. This is the problem with Comcast...most of their technicians are not adequately trained, they do not have enough qualified technicians and unless you are technically savvy and watch and ask what they are doing they will screw you as they have with me. THis is the 2nd time this has happened and we are going to cancel cable and switch to the dish. The only thing I will miss is the cable modem which works fine...but I rather have slower service via DSL than to deal with this company. I am writing my local paper as well in hopes that they will voice my complaint...Comcast needs to get on the ball. BTW...I spend over $120 a month on my cable bill. The dish, with the same amount of TV's and better service will cost me under $90.
