Walmart - Falcon, Colorado Informative - Growth Area Underestimated

Review by searcy girl on 2009-09-30
FALCON, COLORADO -- To Walmart hdqrts... Living in Searcy, Ark. For 27 yrs. And watching your company explode, was quite amazing. I moved to Elbert, CO. 16 Months ago, and the nearest Walmart is in falcon, co, 7 miles away. For as large as the store seems to be, it falls short of a regular Walmart in many ways. Of course, the employees are all wonderful, along with the pharmacy, etc. One big difference is that there are no crafts at all !!! I can't even get a spool of thread other than black or white, which means I have to travel another 10 miles to another store, which is very aggravating. You have to understand, we are on the out skirts of the prairie, but did you really consider this is the only way the springs can grow? East..... And this particular store falls very short of a just a regular one. If you were going to invest all the money to put one in for falcon, why not do it right? Marketing ??? Personally, I think they were asleep on the job, or just didn't think the falcon area would grow.

Do not know how they missed this one. You're losing money, but maybe the points just aren't in crafts and notions for us crafty grandmas. I know one thing. I'm using a lot more gas than I need to.

Alot of Walmarts are discontinuing their crafts departments or significantly downsizing them. Do you have a Joannes Fabrics near you?

Falcon is not on the outskirts of the prairie. Thats so cute.

Walmart will stock what they are confident they can sell. You need to tell the manager at that store what you are looking for. Maybe they have a form you can fill out. Do it every time you go, maybe they'll give it a try.

I was reading how the craft "bubble" has popped, so now people need to return to the normal craft stores for such things, places like Michael's and Hobby Lobby. Of course, there is always the Internet.

walmart caters to the cheap. be wise and spend your hard earned cash at a store that appreciates its customers.
