Sears Complaint - Sears Is Trying To Rip Us Off On A Lawn Mower Repair
OCALA., FLORIDA -- My self-propelled lawnmower was working like a dream, and stopped suddenly and wouldn't restart.
I have never hit anything with it, as I mow saint Augustine grass, only around the house. It does have age on it, and we carry the service agreement. The repair people(who turn out to be in Orlando, 80 miles away) said we had a bent crankshaft, which wasn't covered under warranty, and carburetor was also bad. I know for a fact it doesn't have a bent crankshaft, as I have never hit anything with it. We are being scammed for $128. We are also refusing to pay, so we will have to request the return of the mower, and will cancel the remainder of our contract, and purchase a mower somewhere else.
WE WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SEARS PRODUCT AGAIN. We have dealt with Sears for almost 50 years.
