EBay Complaint - Ebay Policy Compliance Scam
E-bay sellers should be advised they can become victims of a policy compliance scam. The purpose of the scam is to lower seller policy ratings so discounts can be recovered. The scam is initiated when an email from the e-bay policy compliance department is received informing the seller of a listing removal. The seller is accused of a trademark violation and the offending listing is entirely removed. Even though the listing was legitimate the seller cannot retrieve the evidence to prove their claim. When the seller inquires they are advised of a vague complaint made by the trademark holder. They are also advised the legitimacy of the listing is not the issue, only the complaint itself is justification for a policy violation. The seller has no recourse for review even when the facts clearly support no violation ever occurred. If you follow up with e-bay they will continue a campaign of manipulation to your account. I am an e-bay power seller who has been tageted by the policy compliance department because I became angry about this scam and told them so. They have cheated me out of my 20% power seller discounts for 3 months using this scam!
