Federal Express Corporation Complaint - FedEx Ground Unreliable
My experience with FedEx Ground amplifies the poor performance that many, many others have reported. They are apparently a disjointed network of sloppy, unreliable contractors and they are NOT FedEx employees. They are indpendent parties and can apparently run their businesses any way they please. FedEx has no recourse and cannot or will not correct problems. In my case a customer service representative promised that a missed delivery would be re-delivered after 4:00 pm the next day. Instead it arrrived at 2:30 pm when no one was there to receive it. A complaint phone call was smugly answered that they cannot guarantee a delivery time even thought their representative had satted after 4:00 pm. A phone call to Federal Express Customer Assurance (the parent), while polite and attentive, produced no solution or improved delivery.
BEWARE FedEx Ground -- they are a TERRIBLE carrier. UPS or even USPS are better choices. I will never use or recommend Federal Express for anything. Fortunately my experience has only caused gross inconvnience and I haven't yet seen the package. Why do I think there will be another screw-up. But so far I haven't had any financial loss like many other complaintants have. GO BROWN!
