Suntrust Complaint - Poor Customer Service
KENNESAW, GEORGIA -- Oh, dear, where do I start?
First, the bank placed an "insufficent funds" penalty on my account, however there was no debit and/or check that this applied to (IOW--they placed a penalty on me for no reason).
Naturally, I called my branch, and was told "we are to busy right now, call back later." *BLINK* To busy to help your customer?
I called back and asked to speak to the manager. Now, I work in customer service and no how some customers can be, so I was polite and to the point.
She gave me the same answer and gave me an 800 number to call.
Okay...I call them. Explained my problem (also mentioned how they were to busy to help me out). Her response was that she would refund my account when her manager approves the refund and that could take up to 3 business days. She was also very rude. I asked to speak to her manager and she hung up on me.
I take several deep breaths, walk around the house and call them back. Went through the whole thing again with yet another person. He has no clue as to help me, get put on "hold" while he gets a manager and after five minutes was disconnected.
At this point, I'm banging my head against the wall. I call back and finally manage to get a manager. She proceeded to put a "refund" on my account (which took three days to process...whatever) and says that she was sure all of my dealings were misunderstood by me.
Uh-huh. Guess I'm looking for a new bank to deal with.....
