Alienware Complaint - Customer Service Nightmare!!!!
I purchased a used Alienware on eBay from a company. I was so excited to be joining the ranks of Uber Nerds. I wanted to get some info on when it was made, and possibly order a new DVD drive for it. I called, and was greeted with a "Can I get your account number?" in a rude monotonous tone. I politely informed the lady that I did not have an account number. I was then told that she couldn't help me. She didn't even want to hear my question. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and I was told that I was not allowed to speak to one without an account number. I was appalled by what I heard. I then asked if there was anyway to create an account for myself, and I was informed that the only way was to have the original owner sign over ownership (Almost like buying a car, and Alienware's customer service is comparable to the DMV in every way). I then asked if there was anyway that they could contact the original owners and have them sign over ownership, and of course they wouldn't. I tried everything I could think of to just get some assistance on my new pride and joy, and they were to lazy to provide me with adequate customer service. All in all the representative was rude and unhelpful, and the worst part is I can't talk to a manager to complain. I will never purchase a system new or refurbished through Alienware ever!!! I would suggest everyone else do the same. Purchase used and boycott this company.
