Thinkwedding.com Complaint - Party Favors - Mini Wine Bottle Labels
Recently I sent a pdf file of a wedding photo to thinkwedding.com We wanted them to make personalized labels for mini wine bottles to be used as party favors for a 50th anniversary. We spoke to them and explained what we wanted and the importance of putting together a beautiful favor. We were sent a proof which looked great. We printed it on a black/white printer to make sure it fit the bottle. All was well so we approved it. When the labels arrived the bride and groom's faces were pink and the gold metallic font had blue in it. We contacted thinkwedding and were told it would be investigated and we should send a follow up e-mail. After they looked into it, it was determined that the pdf file had pink undertones and the person who processed the order noted that the pdf file was not a true black & white photo. They also said that sometimes blue does show up on the font. None of this information was relayed to us. We were not warned of any potential problem with the label. We told them that when we printed the picture on our b/w it was fine - which it would be if its not color. We did not see any pink on our computer screen when looking at the proof and especially not the shade of pink that was on our label. We used the same photo to make an enlargement for framing and there was no pink in that photo. We offered to send the labels back, pay a new set up fee and send a physical copy of the picture. We were told that they would not fix the problem and threatened that if we stopped credit card payment we would be sent to a collection agency (we never even talked about stopping a payment). Several more e-mails went unanswered and phone calls just went to voice mail. This is a very unprofessional company to work with and they do not stand behind the product they produce. Be very careful if working with them.
