Meineke Car Care Center Complaint - Run, don't walk from Oregon City Meineke

Review by Keska on 2009-10-09
OREGON CITY, OREGON -- The car care service industry hits a new low with the recent events of September 28th. My husband took his truck in to have his missing sputtering engine looked at by the "professionals" at Meineke in Oregon City. The Manager, who shall remain brainless, said he found the problem but it would't be ready till following Tuesday. After paying $907, and driving away he realized it still wasn't really
fixed. He took it back, manager agreed to take another look and this would take more time.
My husband left town to go hunting unable to wait for the vehicle. While supposedly in the shop, Sunday night at 10:30 it was spotted at a local bar in Oregon City! And who knows where else it was driven. Fast forward to October 7th
when we finally got the truck back. Unable to diagnose the problem in 10 days, we demanded it back and our money as well. Of course that didn't
happen. He claimed he never drove the truck and
couldn't imagine how a 6 ft. long scatch appeared on the passenger side. Of course this was after we accused him of driving our vehicle to the bar.
Oh, by the way, Toyota service department was able to determine the problem in just over an hour and had it fixed in five hours. My advice,
research carefully before choosing repair shop.

I would have taken a picture of the car at the bar and I would also get a OBD-II Scanner to diagnose your own vehicle. Owning a diagnostic scanner will pay for itself. No need to depend on shady mechanics.

Run, don't walk because you certainly can't drive! Sorry, I couldn't resist.
