Appliance Mart, Inc. Compliment - Use your local appliance repair shops

COOKEVILLE, TENNESSEE -- On the morning of Saturday, October 10th at about 7:00 AM my wife discovered the refrigerator was not as cold as it should be. (60 degrees). Freezer was OK. At 8:00 AM I called Appliance Mart and explained my problem. The lady advised me she would have the service man call me as soon as he worked out his schedule. At 8:45 the service man called me an said he would be here in 5 minutes. By 9:35 AM he had replace the condenser circulation fan. This entire issue, from detection to completion was 2 hours and 35 minutes. (Just to qualify, I do not know these people personally. I was just another customer.)

Had this been Sears or any of the "big box" stores you can bet they would not have gotten here until Monday (Wednesday for Sears) and then parts would have been ordered. 10 more days to get the part. Reschedule another service call. Total down time would likely have been10 to 20 days. And that is only if they did not fail to show and necessitated rescheduling. As we have seen on this site many, many times.

Try your local people first. They appreciate your business far better than Sears or the "big box" boys do.

Excellent review. Supporting local businesses is always a good idea, and it usually pays off.

Just keep in mind though, your local boys do not have the overhead nor the customer base as the big dogs. Therefore they CAN cater to you a bit easier. That does not make one better than the other.

Catering to the customers needs is what separates the local business from the big dogs. That fact alone makes the local businesses better. I and most others are willing to pay a little more for the service that was described in this review. Kudos to Appliance Mart!
