Norton - Symantec Complaint - Total Security Spyware - No Removal Help From Norton 360 Premier Antivirus

Review by dissd on 2009-10-11
-- I have 360 Premier and understood that it would protect my PC from the likes of Total Security SPYWARE...a fake/rogue antivirus program I've now learned.
I called Norton for help and like other complaints, got the run-around and no help, but for $99.99 or $139.99 for bundle service pack all viruses would be removed.

I am thoroughly dissatisfied with Norton 360 Premier and Symantec...I had been a staunch supporter and customer of yours...but your response has been very disappointing to say the least...I am at a loss for words.

Like another customer, I'll switch to Microsoft for better help.

I simply googled 'How to remove Total Security' and came up with a ton of fixes some easy, some looking complicated..

Why, oh why, does no one ever try to find the answer themselves? And why complain when the manufacturer charges for this help. Do you think they work for free?

Norton? I'll give the same advice as I do about Chase Bank...if it has the name Norton and it's installed on your computer...Delete it, YESTERDAY and run, Run, RUN as fast as you can and don't look back! Sooner or later, you'll get screwed by them!

LadyScot, the real question is why doesn't Norton include an uninstaller program that actually works to remove the entire program?

Digital, Total Security is not part of Norton, it is a VIRUS that pretends to be an antivirus/spyware tool, kind of like AntiVirus 09.

I don't know why Norton does not have an uninstaller. Can you not go to Add/Remove programs and uninstall it like I did on my computer?

Look for something called "unwise.exe"
