BB&T Informative - BB&T Complaint about mortgages - Mortgages
WILSON, NORTH CAROLINA -- Why is BB&T taking money from the Feds and Borrowing money at low interest rates and is NOT passing any interest rate breaks on to their customers? Especially when a lowering of the interest rate would allow the customer to keep their home??????
Local BB&T branches are trying to work with the customers but the people in WILSON, NC say no to everything!!!! How do we get them audited or shut down. I am very serious - it is not business as usual anymore.
I am not an activist type of person - but enough is enough. Whatever I do I want it to be legal any suggestions on how do deal with these people?

This is the new age. For years many of us lived beyond our means on the credit we could obtain. Credit cards are not savings; Debt is not wealth; and credit must ultimately be paid back. For many people this is a shocking reawaking to reality.
The banks have now pulled back to traditional lending criteria in order to stay in business and pay the government back. The interest rates on homes are now at some of the lowest ever, not like the 18% in 1982. The banks cannot lower interest rates much lower. Lowering interest rates would not solve the problem of people who bought more home, more flat screens, and more car than they could afford.

Mine is not a case of overextending - mine is a case of the realestate market tanking - thanks to Clinton, Frank, Dodd. I have paid my bills until now. My renters were laid off, I cannot garnish their wages - they have none. Furthermore I bought my rentals with 30% down - more than was required.
