General Motors Closures Saturn Complaint - Closing Saturn is a disgrace
LYNNWOOD & BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON -- Closing down Saturn is the latest in
arrogant and stupid decisions by GM.
Saturn is the only good car built by GM in the last 30 years. Profit margin obviously wasn't high enough?
GM Management's philosophy of "Take the money and run to the nearest offshore bank" continues to prevail, along with Me, Myself, and I". This has to be stopped.
GM management in its years of blinders, persoanl greed, mis-management, incompetence, and institutional vacuum destroyed the company, destroyed millions of employee's lives and the regions where formerly decent GM cars were built.
I went for service this morning Monday(with an appointment at the Lynnwood, WA branch) and was told the branch had been shut down immediately and without warning last Friday. This leaves me and every other customer in this region totally high and dry - as well as all the dedicated Saturn employees and their families.
I understand now that the Bellevue branch has been closed, and Lynnwood may remain open for a short time. Who is going to provide parts and honor Saturn commitments?
If all the small business people in the country operated on the incompetent, greedy level of GM the whole country would be in total collapse, instead of just hanging by a thread.
A once fine, honorable, company has been totally trashed, along with stock holders and entire communities, with a 'That's OK..I've got mine'attitude that reigns supreme over this land.
Saturn is a good looking, inexpensive, reliable, low maintenance, fuel efficient, and VERY SAFE automobile. We have had 3 of them, and one saved my life during a major freeway speed crash (caused by another vehicle).
We still have two Saturns and planned to buy another when one of these gets too many more big miles on it. I would NEVER consider buying any other GM vehicle except Saturn; the only GOOD car has GM built in over 30 years.
I cannot express by disgust and dismay at continuing bad management decisions at GM and callous disregard for the lives of their employees, and total contempt for their customers.
Wall Street. Greed. That says it all.
Shame on what you continue to do to a once major American company.
Shame on what you have done and continue to do entire regions of this country.
Shame on what you are doing to your customers.
Shame on what you are doing to a fine automobile.
