Time Warner Cable Complaint - Ridiculous Installation Policy
I am trying to set up an appointment to have a technician come and set up phone and internet. I am purchasing a house and because the seller has not cancelled their account I cannot set mine up. I have to wait for them to cancel, then call back to order service and then wait at least 7 business days for a technician to come out. The reason for this is because their database will not allow two accounts at one address and it will kick the sellers account out of the system. Rather than fix the bug in their system they tell me I have to wait to set up service. Interestingly enough the electric company, security company, water company and garbage collectors don't have this problem. Just poor management of the schedule all around. I called the corporate headquarters to try and talk some sense into them but they won't have it. The policy is in concrete. If you want Time Warner you play by their insane rules.
I don't really want Time Warner but I am stuck because no one else offers high-speed internet to my area except Hughes Net which is unbelievably expensive. Come on Verizon and AT&T get those DSL's rollin!!
