Ed Fund Student Loan Complaint - Ed Fund is a scam not a student loan agency

Review by Skeeta on 2009-10-13
OMG ! When I read one of the other reviews that was previously posted it was like quoting myself. I too had a student loan with Ed Fund was told I had to go through a 9 month rehab program, completed the program and had the loan taken by another company (ACS) after which I received mail by ed fund threatening wage garnishments. I called and at first they couldn't find my account (I mean why would they after all it had been taken over by ACS). I told the representative what was going on after going back and forth and being on hold for 35 minutes I was told that I needed to make an additional payment that wasn't received and that I had to begin a 9 month rehab program. Mind you I'm making payments to another company for this same loan and have been put into deferment because of my recently becoming unemployed and going back to school. At least I thought I was going back to school, I received a notice from financial aid that I was not eligible for aid because I was in default with a previous loan as I investigated further who did I find that I was supposedly in default with ed fund. A company that I no longer made payments to, got a clearance letter from and that took my entire federal income tax on last year.

I mean when does it end. This is ridiculous. Does anyone out there know what I can do to end this madness with this company I am no longer indebted to? Afterall how in the world could I be liable to pay the same loan for the same service with two companies? Someone HEEEEEEEEEELP !!
