Craig's List Complaint - Discrimination by Craig's List personnel

Review by Ho'neoxhaa'keta on 2009-10-15
Craig's List has begun a series of discriminatory policies directed at and against me that violate their own Terms of Use or "TOU" without any explanation or meaningful communication as to why that has resulted in many hours of frustrating attempts to resolve and lost exposure (and possible sales) of personal property items. The reason given was ostensibly for Craig's list personnel not being able to "verify" my phone number, which triggered a process whereby my phone number was documented and I received a call from an automated service and given an official authorization code that consisted of five digits, which were entered on the appropriate location on Craig's list site, but the blockage continues and now the verification process does not function.
Repeated attempts to communicate with Craig's list personnel by e-mail have resulted in no dialog or explanation and an additional advertisement that had been prior to this problem unfolding, being "flagged" for removal with no explanation offered and no communincation response forth coming.
It is my sincere belief that Craig's list has embarked upon a policy of racial discrimination that is directed against me, to be sure, and as there is no way for me to determine who else has experienced this through Craig's list contact, and Craig's list failure to meaningful communicate with me save for the insulting and frustrating canned messages that have been cursorily been provided, that they have embarked upon a policy and practice of racial discrimination intended to deny access to their site to certain individuals they choose to target.

If you're only selling personal property, how would they know what your skin color is?

Millions of people use Craigslist. I refuse to believe they are targeting you due to racial discrimination. Not helpful.

Another person crying racism with no grounds to even indicate it's an issue. Craigslist is a FREE service. You aren't losing anything.

how in the world did you equate having to verify your phone number with racism?

it sounds more like your sale got flagged for some reason you haven't revealed
and that you're just calling it "racism" because they said "no"

Er, how do they (Craigslist) know what your race is?

your caller ID must work a whole lot different than mine. I post on craigslist all the time and they never ask for ethnicity.
