Impressive Auto Collision Inc, Flushing Ave, Queens, NY Complaint - 4 weeks & repairs not done

QUEENS, NEW YORK -- Car was supposed to be repaired in 1 week. I signed the paperwork on 9/22/09 and they told me it should be done in about a week. It is now 10/16/09 and my car is still not repaired. I called every week & each time I was told it should be fixed by that weekend. I was told it should be repaired by 10/10/09, it was not, & again promised it would be done by 10/17/09, it was not, now they are telling me that it will be done by 10/24/09. I do not expect that to happen. After all this time, I will have to move the car to another repair facility. This will cost me as they will charge me at least $45. per day storage + towing.

I was asked by one of the readers to specify the repairs, it was right rear fender (called the quarterpanel) and reattaching my rear bumper, some other minor repairs also needed to be done. Cost was estimated at about $4,000., a small job, should have been done in 1 week (I checked w/other collision shops, they all gave me the same answer 1 week repair time, at the most 2 weeks.

This is the most horrendous experience I have ever had w/a repair shop. This place is totally unorganized, unprofessional and they are liars. For some reason they think they can walk all over me, they have no idea they are in for a long battle. I am going to sue them, I am going to report them to the BBB, I am going to report them to NY insurance dept. & I am going to share my experience with them every place I can find on the web.

What was getting repaired on your vehicle? Some more details on that would be helpful.

When they removed the quarter panel, if there was other damage underneath, they should have informed you of that and that it would take longer.

If it is being paid for by the insurance company, contact them and inform them of what is going on. They may be able to get it to another shop and get it done asap.
