Bank of America Complaint - SHORT SALE NIGHTMARE CONTINUES
CALIFORNIA -- My husband and I have been trying to buy a home for over a year and half. We finally found our "perfect" home. The owners of the home were in pre-foreclosure. Our agent wrote our purchase offer, they accepted and we have been waiting on BANK OF AMERICA ever since. That was (3) months ago. Everytime we try and find out what is going on we get the run-around.
We have been told that they have lost our paperwork, that they haven't received our paperwork, that they received but were missing something, so on and so forth. The owners have provided everything they have asked for (and even overnighted all copies) and we are not any farther along than we were 3 months ago. We were told that a manager would intervene and assign a negotiator to the file within one week. That was over a month ago.
In the meantime, they have FORECLOSED on this property. They continue to lose money on this property everyday. Why would Bank of America, whose right and left hands apparently don't know what is going on with each other, not respond to a valid, pre-approved purchase offer to avoid having to spend more money to foreclose on a family who is trying to do their best of avoid this process?
The taxpayers have bailed out B of A banks and now they are taking their time in helping qualified consumers to make purchases? This doesn't make any sense to us.
I would love to write Bank of America's CEO and give hima piece of my mind, but I suspect that wouldn't do any good anyway.
