General Motors Complaint - Insert nav disc please!
GM, i need your help!2mos. ago I brought my enclave(love this crossover nothing can touch it forgein or domestic, sorry caddy, benz, acura, ect.)for service. My DVD player wouldn't play any disc. The problem was diagnoised & a new unit was ordered & insalled(entertainment sys.#4). The servicing dealer ANDERSON AUTOMOTIVE of 25th st. BALTIMORE, MD.(authorized dealer)My advisor stated it would take a couple of hrs. to program the new sys.#4.One week later I decided to use my navigation sys. It read "insert disc".I asume the sys. was looking to download a nav. disc. I went back to the servicing dealer who didn't have a clue what to do, needless to say a nav. disc to download! After talking to an ON-STAR representative We discovered that MODEL-ELECTRIC supplies the entertainment #4 sys. for GM & have a disc for $200.00. The question is who responsible for purchasing the nav. disc? I have 21k mi. on my buick. I'm covered under my 4yr.-50k b-b warranty SO I'M NOT PAYING FOR IT! My advisor stated it would take 4-6wks. for this disc to come in. WHY SO LONG, it took 3 days for the intire unit to come in from the same company. Either MODEL-ELECTRIC didn't send the disc or ANDERSON-AUTOMOTIVE(AUTHORIZED DEALER) didn't install it. Considering that ANDERSON didn't have a clue what I was talking about I believe its the latter. I'm leaving out of town in 3 wks. I would like to have my nav. sys. up & running. This is not 5 STAR SERVICE!I'm considering purchasing 2010 lacrosse trading in a 2004 volvo s80, but if I can't get better service on my enclave whats the purpose of purchasing a lacrosse. PLEASE HELP!
