Arbys located on Haggerty/Grand River Complaint - Hard breaking apart bun that was thrown away because it would not stay together

Review by barbieqqq on 2009-10-21
FARMINGTON HILLS, MICHIGAN -- I don't normally go to Arbys after work (5pm), I usually will go during lunch hours. I decided on Oct 21st to go grab a sandwich and eat it there and enjoy it on the spot, so I can run my errands.

I can honestly say that I will not be going back to this Arbys based on the fact that when I bit into this Beef & Cheddar sandwich, it totally disappointed me to the point I had to throw it out. I should have Marched into the restaurant, but I didn't.
The sandwich was cold and the bun was browned and hard, I could knock on the bun! The bread was crumbling into pieces when I tried to lift the bun. It appeared that the bun had been browned then rebrowned several times. The meat was cold and so was the cheese.

A Beef & Cheddar should be warm. Especially since I went through the drive through and parked immediatey upon receiving my sandwich. Also, the bun should not be hard on the outside and crumble when you sink your teeth into it. The bread was definitely stale.

The poor quality of my sandwich may keep me from ever visiting Arbys again. It just not acceptable.

You must have ESP. I'm in your time zone. I'm also a few miles 'down the road' from your location. At this moment it's a few minutes after 10AM, 10/21/09. It's neither the 'lunch hour' nor after 5PM. Evidently so MANY things wrong with one sandwich doesn't affect you very much. If even one of the items mentioned were wrong with a sandwich I bought, I'd be back at that restaurant in a flash requesting one that was freshly made.

Is that the sandwich with all the little burnt onions on the bun? I used to like the ham and swiss sandwich.

Good review,I wouldn't go back either...

i'd recommend avoiding the drive through

if you have time to sit and eat...it's probably better to go inside then.
might end up saving you time in the long run, if the sammiches are being fouled up

I am always amazed-1 bad experience at a place someone goes to often-and they did not notify anyone of the problem, and they won't go back.
My prediction? In a few months, the OP will be back at Arbys.

The only thing I like from Arby's is the chicken salad sandwich, but it's really expensive so I rarely eat there

I appreciate all your responses. Reflecting back now, I realize that I should have gone inside Arbys to do a show and tell with the once bitten (crumbling) sandwich. Lesson learned.

Thanks again for all your feedback.

Right, barbieqq. We work too hard for our money to waste it in this fashion. And don't give up on Arby's. I've had some pretty decent food there. Good luck.
