Alitalia Airlines Complaint - Horrid Airline

I recently returned from a trip to Italy flying on Alitalia Airlines..let me start by saying it was the worst trip I've ever had on any airline. First of all there were 4 bathrooms on board..2 were out of order!!..so we had to wait in a long line to use the two that worked. The flight attendants were rude and never once during the 10 hr flight offered a glass of water..if you wanted something to drink you had to fight your way to the back of the plane..past all the people waiting for the restroom..also the bathrooms were GROSS..smelled horrible and no soap. Please tell me why after paying $800.00 for a flight I couldn't get a glass of water or some soap to wash my hands???? maybe someone in high places will read this and make some changes..

Tough call on this type of situation. Do you delay the flight and try to fix the problem with the toilets or do you just go on time and take the grief when it comes. That is the airline's decision. Not easy. Whichever they decide, someone won't be happy. I say, go ontime and fix the problem when the plane has an overnight or scheduled maintenance layover.
Why would you want water when half the bathrooms don't work?? And I would sure expect them to be dirtier than normal when they are getting twice the usage.

Alitalia's product beyond the curtain has always had a reputation for being bad, however their business class is a nice product. Sad when a countries national airline has to be taken over by a foreign company.
Airlines have found its better to irritate a few with MEL bathrooms than cancel a flight, as compensation becomes an issue.
Just for accuracy, there were at least 5 lav's onboard any Transatlantic aircraft.

OP was probably able to use/see only 4 in coach as they won't have access to the business class biffy.
