Cingular Wireless Complaint - New GSM Service Area - No Service
DESTIN, FLORIDA -- I was a customer of Cingular Wireless in the Destin Florida area for over 4 years. I added another phone to my account to use for business in Feb 2004, I was told I needed to purchase a GSM phone because their service was changing to GSM in June. My old phone worked fine, it wasn;t a GSM phone, but my new GSM phone started dropping calls and had no signal 75% of the time in my calling area. I complained MANY times over the next 3 months, still no service. I had to change carriers and cancell my contract with Cingular. I was not happy when after all I have been thru they will not clear my "liqudated damages charge" of $210. I complained oline with a class action attorney, they also sent me to you to complain. Another thing I noticed was all the dropped calls were charged to my phone again after re-diling the number secveral time in the same min. even if I didn't connect. This is a big problem in our area. PLease help us.
After checking my3cents.com I found the corporate number and asked for the secretary to the CEO. She informed me they never waive the fee but would check into my service calls.
