In September of this year, I was instructed to send in my Presario 1275 for warranty service to repair a persistent problem. That problem is that the computer will not charge the battery or it will not recognize that a charged battery is in place.
After several calls to Technical Support, they determined that something was amiss with the internal workings of the computer and not the software that controls it.
Determining this can be done by turning the the computer on utilizing battery power and running it without the power cord. After about 10 minutes on a fully charged battery, it will shut down. The battery will still register that it is charged.
Your Warranty Repair facility that I was instructed to send the computer to, could not figure this out and simply returned the computer back to me with a form letter stating that they could not duplicate the problem.
The notes in your technical support data base on my case are extensive. I will let you read those on your on time for further details. I am sending you this letter to express my dissatisfaction with Compaq Computer Corporation and the way this matter was handled. I also request that you contact me as soon as possible to correct this ongoing problem, that started well within the one-year warranty period. I can be contacted via email at email@example.com
