T-Mobile Informative - Beware of Using Credit Cards at T-Mobile
Yes, the Summary normally comes at the end ( I think) but in this case I believe I will start with it. This is the part I want to relay to everyone.
SUMMARY: Your Credit Card (Even for Prepaid Service) is stored by T-Mobile with your Security Code. It appears that if your Cell Phone were to be stolen the thief could add minutes to your Stolen Phone, a phone you had given away or donated until you canceled your credit card.
In my case I had no idea that T-Mobile had this info and they could or would use it without Verifying it was me making the charge. I never signed up for any of their programs like Auto Re-Fill. They had absolutely no need nor right to my Credit Card info. NONE. They put on an act of being so Security conscience. I'll be glad when they are gone! The only thing they are interested in is raising that 4 Billion dollars and providing bad service because they have over extended themselves.
T-Mobile can and will use Pre-Used Credit Cards ( Credit Cards you have used to make a previous purchase.) I found out about their practice of charging strictly by accident the other day.
I received a Notice from my Bank stating that VESTA T-Mobile had just charged $27.07
To my Credit Card. No way, I said. The phone they charged to I had given away.
Now, understand: I gave away the phone-- Not my Credit Card and Security Code. The Security Code is needed to make Online or Phone purchases. At least that is the story.
The New owner had simply called T-Mobile to have a Pre-Paid card he had purchased for CASH added to his new phone (My Old One).
Now ask yourself. How? Why did my Credit Card get billed? My guess is that if someone calls T-Mobile and has used a Credit Card in the past they Simple pull up your info from their Data Base.
If T-Mobile’s employees can barely speak English -- How well can they read or even understand English? How can companies function with employees that can not communicate with their customers?
Beware: I’ll buy using Cash from now on.
