Geek Squad Fort Lauderdale Florida Complaint - My Insurance Policy - Kodak Camera

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA -- I bought a camera from Best Buy and got insurance for an extra fee. The camera started giving me problems. I owned the camera less than a year. Every time I turned it on it turned itself back off. I took it to the Geek Squad and they sent it off to be fixed which took a month. I got the camera back and it was working fine. So I thought. the camera started doing the same thing not even a month after. I took it back and told them I wanted them to replace it cause obviously the problem was going to continue on and on til my insurance expired. They told me they had to send it off again for another month. I was outraged I insisted on a new camera. The man helping me smiled and said that's all I can do. I told the guy this is the second time this has happened so what's going to be different this time.

I will never shop at Best Buy again. If you get insurance and the item is a lemon don't expect for them to replace it just expect to get the runaround til your insurance has expired.

Could it possibly have been the battery? I always research my electronic problems BEFORE asking for a repair. Many times it is easy to fix on your own.

Maybe it needed a new battery.......It sounds like the insurance will pay for repairs for as long as the policy is in effect. This doesn't necessarily mean they would replace it with a new one.
