DMI Electric Complaint - Lack of Follow-up & Follow-through w/ DMI Electric
This company, DMI Electric, was the subcontractor on a commercial building renovation my wife & I had done in the spring of 2007. They left their card, and asked us to call them if we had any issues with respect to our electrical system, which we now do. In particular, our outside lights are not coming on, which poses a (perceived) safety hazard for employees leaving at night-time (specifically, the females). I have promised the employees that I would have this fixed BEFORE daylight saving time took effect, which occurred this past weekend.
So, I called this company for the first time in mid-September, and was told to expect a call back very soon. I called again two weeks later, and the employee admitted that the owner (Dale) had not called me, and that he would alert him once more.
I then left town, came back & still had not received a call back (it is now mid-October). The owner Dale assured me he will come out in the next couple of days, and up to this day, I haven't heard a word.
I just called Dale, and he said he was "busy with a project down in Macon" and that I should look elsewhere for an electrical contractor. I called the original employee back (Brandon) & told him I was going to post this information on this site I had just learned about, and that it (i. e., my story) would "bury" his company.
The "kicker" is that their business cards state "Helping To Turn On The Light For Christ." I told Brandon that, as a believer, I found that to be somewhat disreputable.
Bottom line, six weeks+ have passed, and I must again look for a contractor to fix our electrical system. I would definitely NOT recommend these guys to anyone, as they do NOT do what they say they will do.
